A TripIt alternative for travel by text
Soar brings your bookings, flight updates, and hotel search into one app, with travel help by text. Here is how it compares with TripIt.
At a glance
| Feature | Soar | TripIt |
|---|---|---|
| Booking imports | Connect Gmail to import travel bookings automatically. | Forward confirmation emails or use Inbox Sync. Both are included in the free plan. |
| Managing a trip | See your trips in the app and ask for help by text. | View your itinerary, documents, and plans in the app or on the web. |
| Flight updates | Flight tracking, gate updates, and check-in help. | Real-time flight alerts and check-in reminders with Pro. |
| Hotels | Search and book hotels with Apple Pay. | Keep hotel confirmation details in your itinerary. |
| App and plans | Free iPhone app. Bookings cost extra. | Free plan and paid Pro subscription. iOS, Android, and web. |
What changes with Soar?
Connect Gmail to bring in your bookings. Then text Soar about a flight, ask for check-in help, or search for a hotel near your destination. You can manage the details in the app and continue the conversation in Messages.
TripIt also imports bookings automatically. Its free plan includes Inbox Sync, so email import alone is not a reason to switch. The reason to consider Soar is the combination of trip organization, hotel booking, and help by text.
Before you switch
The Soar app is available for iPhone. If you need an Android app or a web itinerary editor, include that in your decision. Compare the features you use today with each product's free and paid plans.
Start with one upcoming trip in Soar and check that the imported flights and stays are complete. See how Soar uses Gmail before connecting your inbox.
