Information from your email inbox:

If you grant us secure OAuth access to your Gmail (or other supported email accounts), Soar will analyze the inbox to identify travel confirmation emails from airlines, hotels, or booking platforms. This includes:

• Flight numbers and dates
• Hotel names, check-in/check-out dates, and locations
• Booking reference numbers
• Other itinerary-related information

We only access this information to help you automatically track trips, build a visual travel timeline, and summarize itinerary details using AI. We do not access unrelated emails, and we do not send emails on your behalf.

This functionality complies with Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Information collected automatically:

When you use Soar, we may automatically collect certain technical data, including:

• Device type and OS
• IP address
• App usage data
• Log events

We use this for analytics, security, and improving the product experience.

Manual entries:

Soar also allows you to manually enter or edit travel details, such as past flights, countries visited, or hotel stays, if you choose not to sync your inbox or want to supplement your travel history.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the data we collect to:

• Build a centralized travel timeline with your flight and hotel history
• Summarize your trips using AI-powered insights
• Show a visual travel map of past and upcoming trips
• Personalize your user profile with travel metrics and stats (e.g., countries visited, total distance flown)
• Let you add or edit travel data manually
• Maintain and improve the security and functionality of our Services
• Send account-related messages and product updates
• Respond to user inquiries and provide support
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your data, run targeted ads, or share your personal information with travel partners or advertisers.

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties. We only disclose information:

• To our trusted service providers (e.g., Google Cloud Platform) to operate our infrastructure

• If you revoke email access or delete your account, we will delete your inbox-derived data within 3 months
• Manually added travel history is deleted upon account deletion
• Anonymized or aggregated data may be retained for internal product analytics

6. How We Keep Your Information Safe

We use Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to host our services, which provides secure infrastructure across Firestore, Firebase, and BigQuery. All access tokens and sensitive user data are encrypted. Despite our efforts, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

Access to inbox data is restricted to necessary service functions and never leaves our secure GCP environment.

7. Your Privacy Choices

You can:

• Access or delete your data at any time by emailing us at hello@joinsoar.co
• Manually edit or remove travel data from your user profile
• Revoke Gmail access from your Google account settings
• Delete your account, which initiates deletion of all associated data

We will confirm all deletion requests and remove data within a reasonable timeframe.

We may use cookies and device-based analytics for usage reporting and basic app functionality. We do not use third-party tracking cookies for ads or personalization.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings.
